There is something about being in a career you love where you can make people feel beautiful. The look on someones face after a change, no matter how subtle or dramatic is why I do it. I love learning from people and hearing about their lives. It is amazing some of the things people have been through and the places they've traveled.

I grew up in a small town not far from the salon on 5 acres. My parents still live in the same home. In fact, I wanted to always remember where I grew up, so my husband and I got married there in October of 2014. My husband and I met while I was playing on a kickball team with his brother. I played sports growing up and have continued to love playing them in social sport leagues. It is so much fun playing on a team and meeting so many people that become great friends! It's through these relationships that have my laugh lines growing. Laughter is key to getting through the day.

I love nerding out on hair education. I am constantly taking classes and I believe that there is always room to grow. I have a thirst for knowledge and I want to know why something does what it does. That actually led me to one of my haircutting classes I went to for Head Shape Matters. I've been an educator with them for over a year and I never thought I'd cut hair according to math, geometry and physics. It's crazy and amazing just wait until you see!
